Juno is symbolic of the love affair that does not grow into marriage. For this reason, Juno is ruler of the mistress.
In our research, we concluded that when a couple forms a CAC such that the Juno linkages outweigh the Chiron linkages, then the relationship is less likely to result in marriage, and more likely to revolve around sex. If there are significant Chiron Linkages as well as Juno linkages, but the Juno linkages are more exact or more numerous, then the relationship can result in a child (since the Chiron linkages would foretell this due to Chiron's rulership of children). But the presence of the stronger Juno linkages would diminish the likelihood of marriage, thus increasing the chances of an unwed mother.
Nowadays, there are quite a few famous unwed mothers. It seems that it is now acceptable in most circles to be such. But we all know that this was not the case until recently. Therefore, for the purposes of astrological research, the best examples of unwed mothers would be the ones who were unwed mothers when it was scandalous to be so.
CATHERINE DENEUVE, ROGER VADIM AND MARCELLO MASTROIANNI
Catherine Deneuve is the single most famous example of such an unwed mother. She had a long affair with Marcello Mastroianni and bore him a child. They never married. A decade earlier, she had a long affair with Roger Vadim and bore him a child. They never married either. She had a Juno-Venus linkage to both of them. But more importantly, the Juno linkages outweighed the Chiron linkages in the cases of both men.
Below is the CAC for Deneuve and Vadim:

Then we simply went into mode 8 (alt + 8) and then pressed the F5 key which connects all of the 30-degree interaspects. We wanted to emphasize the Juno linkages in purple so we added the purple lines and headings using an illustrator program.)
The purple lines in the above CAC point out the important Juno linkages, which are more numerous and more exact than the Chiron linkages. In fact, there is a double Juno-Neptune linkage. As explained elsewhere on this website, a double linkage is always significant and is more powerful than the sum of the two linkages. The interpretation for Juno-Neptune linkage is a long-term mistress.
Deneuve and Vadim also have the Venus-Juno linkage which is the linkage most commonly found in mistress oriented relationships and symbolizes that the two couples have a desire (Venus) to have a mistress oriented relationship (Juno), as opposed to a marriage oriented relationship which would be based on Chiron linkages.
In the above CAC, you can see that the Juno Linkages are more exact and more numerous than the Chiron Linkages.
The dominance of Juno linkages is even more pronounced in the case of Deneuve and Matroianni, whose CAC is below:
Please note in the above CAC that Juno makes more interaspects than any other planet. Deneuve's Juno is at such a crucial point of the CAC that it dominates the CAC and forms five interaspects, which is why we refer to the position of her Juno as having Juno Focus. In addition, Deneuve and Mastroianni have a Double Venus-Juno Linkage; we already learned that this linkage is symbolic of a mistress-oriented relationship as opposed to a marriage-oriented relationship.
Deneuve had Chiron linkages with both men. But neither formed Romantic Super Linkages and the Chiron interaspects were neither as numerous nor as exact as the Juno interaspects. Because the Juno linkages outweighed the Chiron linkages, the symbolisms of Juno also outweighed those of Chiron. Nonetheless, the Chiron interaspects were not silent. They were strong enough to create children and therefore, Deneuve had a lifelong link with both men through the sharing of the men's children.
By the way, when a couple has Juno-Chiron as the only significant Chiron linkage, neither marriage nor children are likely. The interpretation for the Juno-Chiron linkage is a mistress-centered long-term partnership with the emphasis on the word "mistress."
LORETTA YOUNG AND CLARK GABLE
When Clark Gable and Loretta Young were filming their movie Call of the Wild in 1935, they had an affair. About six months afterwards, Loretta Young disappeared from public view, reappearing about a year and a half later, seemingly almost for the sole purpose of announcing that she would adopt two children. On June 11, 1937, she adopted two girls but then mystifyingly returned one of them to the orphanage, while keeping the one named Judy. There were faint rumors that the girl Loretta Young adopted was really her own child, and that the father was Clark Gable.
The rumors were true and with Clark Gable as the father, Loretta Young must certainly rank as one of the all time most famous unwed mothers. (She did marry Tom Lewis on July 31, 1940 and Judy became Judy Lewis.)
We know you are anxious to view the CAC of Gable and Young so here it is:
This time, the couple had a Romantic Super Linkage with her Jupiter conjunct his Jupiter-Chiron conjunction. But Loretta's Saturn was contra-parallel to Gable's Chiron and Sun, creating a pair of clashes that included the Heartbreak Clash. So once again, by employing Magi Astrology, the CAC foretells of a relationship that would not be marriage oriented but one that could result in an unwed mother. Here too, the Juno linkages outweighed the Chiron linkages. Their most exact linkage was a Venus-Juno linkage and there was Juno Focus. Gable's Juno formed three interaspects and formed a Juno Focus. So Juno interaspects outweighed the Chiron interaspects. Not by much but they did. And some of the Chiron interaspects were clashes that break relationships rather than bind them. The result was another astrological environment that foretold of a relationship that would be centered around the mistress rather than a marriage. It was an affair that did not grow into a marriage.
THERE ARE NOW LOTS OF UNWED MOTHERS
The planets are always moving and as the planets move on, they bring signs of changing times. One of the changes that has occurred is how much more acceptable it is to be an unwed mother. A recent cover of People Magazine proclaimed that there was a baby boom and showed pictures of three couples who just had children. Two of the mothers were unwed. These two are Madonna and Catherine Zeta-Jones. There was a time not all that long ago when such a cover story would have been impossible since unwed mothers were considered taboo.
As the general public's willingness to accept unwed parents grows, the astrological parameters of the CACs of unwed parents will shift a little. Their CACs will probably not be such perfect examples of the Magi symbolisms of Juno. But no matter what, Chiron will always rule marriage; and Juno will still be ruler of the mistress and the affair that does not blossom into marriage.
So let us look at how to apply the principles of Magi Astrology to the two super famous unwed mothers.
Madonna, like Catherine Deneuve, chose to have two babies with two different men and has not married either. But unlike Deneuve, Madonna chose two men whose birth data are not readily verifiable. We think we have birth dates for both Guy Ritchie and Carlos Leone (the men who fathered her two children). If this data is correct, the men form CACs that completely confirm the principles of Magi Astrology. But we have no verification of the birth data. These birth dates were given to us by people who told us that their sources were close associates of the two men. But this is not enough to meet our high standards. The Magi Society will not use unconfirmed birth data on our website in lessons when we are trying to prove a point. (But we might use them at a later time as anecdotal evidence.)
That leaves us with Michael Douglas
and Catherine Zeta-Jone, two celebrities with published birth
dates.
On December 31 1999, Catherine and Michael announced their engagement.
They have yet to be married. But on August 8, they had a baby.
Below is their CAC.
In analyzing the astrology of the above CAC, it is important to keep in mind the following: The Magi Society has found that as we learn a new tool of astrology, there is the tendency to OVERUSE this new tool and omit the usage of what we had previously learned. We mention this now because we can understand the relationship of Douglas and Zeta-Jones by simply using the principles of Magi Astrology that was taught in our Love and Money book. By adding our new knowledge of Juno, we can understand the relationship a little better but we do not need to add it.
Douglas and Zeta-Jones have a very powerful Romantic Super Linkage. He was born with a triple parallel of Sun, Neptune and Chiron. Her Sun is parallel to all three of these planets. This is the alignment that creates the astrological basis of their attraction, love and commitment to each other.
However, they also have a very difficult Double T-square where her Chiron opposes his Sun and Neptune, and her Mars squares his Sun and Neptune. This pair of T-squares certainly will slow down the walk down the aisle because Chiron is one of the planets forming the T-squares.
So there are two opposing forces in the CAC. One impels them to be married; the other pushes them away from the altar. And then you have that interesting Juno-Neptune linkage. The one that foretells of a long-term relationship revolving around being a mistress and having a child without marriage.
We are not sure what will happen, but we wish them both happiness.

(But we did not promise we would never publish what is on this site and we will eventually publish this information in books and on the Main Page.)
We wish to conclude this lesson with a reminder that we should always use all of the many tools of Magi Astrology whenever we analyze a CAC or any chart. For example, we had taught in our Love and Money book that the combination of Chiron and Uranus creates a reluctance to marry. Those born with Chiron-Uranus aspects prefer independence (Uranus) in their children-oriented relationships (Chiron), which means they prefer to not marry. This is confirmed by the fact that two other current super famous unwed mothers both were born with the Chiron-Uranus aspect. Goldie Hawn and Susan Sarandon are both unmarried mothers, and both were born with a Chiron-Uranus trine. All we want to point out here is that even though you now have a new tool (Juno) to use in your astrological analysis, you should still use all of the other tools of Magi Astrology.
