When Princess Diana died in August of 1997, all the opinion polls showed that the British public was dead set against a marriage of Prince Charles and his lifelong mistress, Camilla Parker-Bowles. Only about 20% voiced approval for such a wedding. Camilla was not in her Cinderella Time.
But the planets move on and their movements are signs that things change. Right now, Camilla is in her Cinderella Time. Recent polls by British newspapers say that over 60% of British citizens not only approve, but also advise that Prince Charles should marry Camilla.
