Citrix Systems, Inc. (CTXS) offers application serving software and services that extend the virtual workplace everywhere by providing secure, reliable access to applications and information, and a consistent user experience, on any device or network connection.

Specifically, CTXS develops, markets, sells and supports comprehensive application delivery and management software that enables the effective and efficient enterprise-wide deployment and management of applications, including those designed for Microsoft Windows operating systems and UNIX Operating Systems. CTXS products enable organizations to deploy and manage certain applications without regard to location or type of client hardware platforms. These products operate by executing the applications on a multi-user Windows NT, Windows 2000 or UNIX server and provide end-users access to the server from a variety of client platforms through the company's ICA protocol. This approach minimizes the memory and processing requirements of the client system, resulting in a highly scaleable, secure and bandwidth-efficient solution for deployment and management of enterprise applications across a range of platforms and network environments.

The company's ICA technology enables the separation of an application's graphical user interface from the application logic, allowing the user interface to be displayed on a client while the application logic itself is executed on a server. This distributed architecture allows 16- and 32-bit Windows, Java or UNIX applications to run remotely over a range of connection speeds, including low-bandwidth connections.

Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, FL, CTXS markets its solutions globally through value-added resellers, system integrators, consulting firms and OEM licensees. As of Dec. 31, 2000, CTXS had relationships with approximately 90 distributors and about 7,500 CSN Providers worldwide. The primary market for CTXS products and services is large and medium-sized enterprises that require the ability to securely deploy, manage, and access business applications across the extended enterprise.

In February 2000, CTXS acquired all of the operating assets of the Innovex Group, Inc for approximately $47.8 million in cash. On May 1, 2001, CTXS completed its acquisition of Sequoia Software Corporation, a provider of XML-based portal software.

International revenues (sales outside of the U.S.) accounted for approximately 40.3% and 38.7% of net revenues for 2000 and 1999, respectively. Net revenues for 2000 amounted to $430,548,000 compared to $363,455,000 in 1999.
